2008 Guitar Workshop Series: What To Bring

2008 GUITAR AND BASS RETREAT™

WHAT TO BRING:

Please bring at least one acoustic or electric instrument. Electric players are highly encouraged to bring their own practice amps. In addition, we recommend that each student bring the following:
* Guitar Tuner
* Blank Tablature Paper.
(Guitarists will want 6 lines, bassists will want 4-6 depending
on your instrument. Free printable tab-paper can be found at
www.blanksheetmusic.net. )

*plenty of pens/pencils

* music stand

Everything you'll need for the duration of your stay. In packing for your stay at the Guitar Workshop Series bring a light coat as it sometimes gets chilly in the evening. If you are staying in our basic dorms, we want to remind you to that there is no air conditioning, but you may feel free to bring a fan.

Other items to consider: ear plugs, a camera and a pen and paper for names and addresses, memories, songs etc..! Water Bottle(s)
Snacks
Comfortable clothing
Recording device if desired
Journal
Paper/Notebooks
Instruments if desired (not required)
Recordings of music you enjoy and/or have created

Recording devices are generally ok with most faculty during classes. A good rule of thumb is to ask the teacher first before taping something. For any last minute items you require or may have forgotten there is a general store nearby in Loretto.

WHAT NOT TO BRING:
No Weapons of any kind
No Fireworks
No Illegal substances
No Vending will be allowed
No Pets
