2008 GUITAR AND BASS RETREAT

Learn acoustic/electric Guitar or Bass during four rejuvenating days of workshops, one on-one private lessons, impromptu jam sessions and energizing concerts on the pristine mountain campus of St. Francis University in Loretto, PA. Earn one fi ne arts university credit during this four day intensive. No experience required!

We customize your learning to your interests and abilities. Walk away with skills that will satisfy your playing for an entire year. Playing guitar is one of the best ways to relax. Playing Guitar with friends can be twice the fun!

Know Your instrument

Our goal is to not only start or advance your playing but to keep you interested in playing for a long time. As such, the workshop is designed with your particular musical interests in mind. Learn the songs, tunes and styles you love at your own pace in a relaxed yet invigorating environment.

It is important to hear what you are playing and how you are progressing as a musician. This year we are pleased to off er access to a recording room where you can learn recording basics, record your progress and complete your experience by taking home a CD of you playing the music you choose.
Audio and Book Corner
Participants will have access to an extensive library of instruction books/cds and performance recordings. During your practice and free time, feel free to discover new techniques and players.

 

For Tappers…
Special arrangements are available for those who wish to concentrate on tap and touchstyle techniques. Along withthe resources available to all participants, tappers will receive no less than 3 one hour private tapping sessions. Since 2004, the focus of this program has been to engage students as well as adult learners from all over the United States in a culturally rich, all-inclusive music program. Our philosophy is that students learn best in a completely hands-on, relaxed, safe environment without the pressure of being perfect. Beginners are warmly welcomed. This program is built for adults over 18.
