FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: I have never played music or drums before, will I be able to do this?

A: Absolutely, all of our faculty members go to great lengths to teach to who is in front of them. Everyone we bring to the Rhythm Renewal to teach has the gift of being able to teach to multiple skill levels all at one time.

Q: Do I need my own drum?

A: You can bring your drum or feel free to borrow one of our many drums.

Q: Do I have to perform in front of other people?

A: Absolutely not. Although these opportunities will be provided, performing is not required. Everyone need only do what they feel comfortable doing. Enjoy…

Q: I am under 18. Can I still sign up?

A: The programs are geared towards adults over 18. Sometimes exceptions are made under certain circumstances. Please call the Office of Education at 814-472-3012 for more info.

Meals are not provided in the program and are the responsibility of each participant. There are several good restuarants nearby as well as a wonderful large grocery store called Wegmans. There are also 2 sub shops across the street from NYIDE.

We take breaks at lunch and dinner time. There are water fountains. If you don't like treated water, you may want to bring bottled water.

Q: What credit cards do you accept?

A: Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express

A: We encouage all participants to participate in all four days of the event to provide a sense of continuity and community between everyone. Sometimes exceptions are made under certain circumstances. Please call or email the New York Institute of Dance and Education for more details.
